The vision of the Riverfront Rock Gym was to bring a refreshing, exciting, and healthy amenity alternative to Wenatchee. The climbing gym and supporting fitness center are designed to seamlessly incorporate the existing 100-year- old barn with adjoining new structures. The owners wanted a place for all-season climbing that offered everyone a different experience; whether it was practicing a different type of climbing, or catching up with friends at the full-service bar and snack shop located in the historic barn.

The climbing structure was designed using only the latest structural techniques and finish products in order to effectively deliver the most natural climbing experience. Through heavy collaboration with the owners, Forte Architects was able to exceed the client’s original expectations and produce a fun, safe, and healthy environment for all ages.
